Discovery Green is proud to host Field of Light, a dazzling art installation by internationally-acclaimed artist Bruce Munro. The vivid, temporary, site specific installation is now on display along the Brown Promenade through Feb. 8, 2015 and it is illuminated from 3 to 11 p.m. daily. The prime viewing hours of the exhibit are after dusk.

The 3rd Annual Curry Crawl returns on Sunday, May 18th from 5-8 p.m. Hosted by Chef John Sikhattana of STRAITS (800 Sorella Court) and held at his restaurant in CITYCENTRE, this year’s line up of 10 competing food trucks and restaurants represent the best in culinary creativity and a variety of cultures and flavors.

Much like the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade where you see Santa at the end, the Children’s Museum of Houston is excited to host its 8th annual Great Gobbler Thanksgiving with Santa event where kids make their own floats, wear them, join the parade and meet Santa. Get into the holiday spirit with exhilarating activities and engage in the terrific Thanksgiving traditions.
Minute Maid is endorsing and supporting retired Houston Astros iconic catcher/second baseman/outfielder and current Minute Maid Grand Slam For Youth Baseball Ambassador, Craig Biggio, in his bid for induction into the Baseball Hall Of Fame, Class of 2014.
Discovery Green will be offering kayak rides on Saturday, June 8 at 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Each kayak will be piloted by one of our professional guides. Children must be signed in by a parent or guardian, no exceptions. Parents, you don't have to ride if you do not want to. Our kayaks will take up to two children or one adult and one child at a time for a total of three people including the guide. Price: $5 per person.
Each ride will consist of two laps around Kinder lake to learn about paddling and enjoy all the beautiful fish swimming in the lake.
Come to Discovery Green and discover Blissful Warrior Yoga, taught by Jerry & Michelle. They will unwind and rehabilitate you as well as challenge and strengthen you. You will discover the basics of vinyasa yoga, breath and fluidity, and the movement of energy, known in ancient cultures as prana, mana, or qi. Blissful Warrior Yoga brings together elements of tai chi, kung fu, balance techniques, and energy building poses.
